WE S3: Designing a Life you Love After Surviving from Crises

March is the celebration of International Women's Month and lots of women empowerment activities and talks are dedicated to all amazing women. Last March 24, 2018, I have attended WE S3: Designing a Life you Love After Surviving from Crises. The event was held at Arkipelago located at Bagtikan Street, San Antonio, Makati City and organized by Ms. Ma. Joy Felizardo of Gastronomy by Joy.

I'm so happy to be part of this event because I've learned a lot and inspired to the experiences and stories of the speakers. Special guest speaker is Ms. Annette Ablan, a Consul who came from a wealthy and political clan in the Philippines. Her struggle in life like having a traumatic childhood, being neglect and spoiled brat during her teenage years and having a failed marriage is not a hindrance to quit in life. She's very inspiring because those trials served as her weapon to strive more, not to give up easily and be strong independent woman. One of remarkable words from her, "Count your blessings and not your troubles".

The next speaker is Ms. Rowena Margarita Suarez, a TV Host and wife of Vice Mayor of Unisan, Quezon Province. She is a Financial Planner for almost 14 years. She has a long time experience to help people who needs finacial advise. She shares interesting topic about savings for the future which I'm so excited about.

In our daily life, we have to balance what are our needs and wants. We have to be practical because money is come and go. If you are working, don't depend in just one income. Spread your wings, used your talents and have a passive income. Maybe at first it's kinda difficult but always believe in yourself that you can survive.

I'm already in my mid 30s and actually worried about my future. I have a small savings in the bank but I'm sure it still not enough. I want to engage into business. I know a lot of people who are also at my stage and Ms. Ro is the perfect person to consult for any queries about financial, #JustAskRo .

Words to live by.

It was a day of learning and inspiration indeed. Thanks for the opportunity to meet awesome people. Thanks for the generous sponsors, Spring Valley for the refreshments.
