68th Mid-Year ORCHID & GARDEN SHOW

Philippine Orchid Society, Inc. in cooperation with the Quezon City Memorial Circle Administration stage the  largest and most comprehensive orchid show and sale the "68th Mid-Year ORCHID & GARDEN SHOW" with the theme: "The Great Orchid & Pet Expo". Held last August 29 to September 8, 2014 in Quezon Memorial Circle, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City.
 
I had a great time to tour the ORCHID & GARDEN SHOW headed by WalkWithChan himself, no less than Mr. Lawrence "Rence" Chan, a writer and an advocate for many things. The annual Orchid Show offers visitors a once-a-year opportunity to see a rotating display of hundreds of orchids. Take in the hundreds of blooms on display, and don't forget to make a pit stop by the Shop in the Garden for your very own orchid to take home.
 
 
Upon entering the Garden, it's nice to  be familiarized and get to know more about the Orchids of the Philippines. Though it is very technical for me, Mr. Rence clearly introduced each of them.
 



I was so fascinated to the beauty of all the Orchids displayed in the show. How I wish I'm living here and surrounded by these  beautiful creatures.

Rex Education takes home awards at 21st Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal, 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards

  Rex Education was recently recognized at the 21st Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal and the 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA). The Quezon Gawad Parangal is held annually in October as part of the local government’s celebration of the city’s founding. The 2023 awards ceremony recognized individuals and institutions who were exemplary in the fields of social work, environment and sanitation, law and justice, business and entrepreneurship, and science and technology. Rex Education was among the 15 individuals and institutions recognized at this year’s iteration of the prestigious event. The 21st Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal took place on October 25 at the PETA Theater Center.
