SAFETY ZONE EVENT

Moms and Dads flocked to Babyland Shaw Blvd for the Safety Zone Event, the first of its kind to bring together all the trusted experts that help keep children safe.   This event was organized by Halo SleepSack Philippines (www.halophilippines.com), together with Babyland Baby Stores (www.facebook.com/babylandph), to help parents learn everything they need to know to keep their babies safe.  It was also a charity event, as 100% of the ticket sales were donated to Children’s Hour.

Ms. Krie Reyes of Messy Baby kicked off the program by sharing her knowledge of healthy living and environmental safety. Messy Baby is social enterprise that produces a line of all-natural household cleaners that are effective just as they are safe for you and the environment.

Ms. Ives Lim-Esteban of Halo SleepSack Philippines then shared some eye-opening stories about Sudden Infant Death, and how to keep babies safe while sleeping.  The award-winning Halo SleepSack is a wearable blanket that replaces loose blankets to prevent SIDS, suffocation and accidents during sleep.  With over 20 years of research in SIDS, HALO is the No.1 brand trusted by moms and doctors today.

Next was Mr. Mik Cortez of MD Moms, who discussed the proper and safe way to bathing and skin care.  MD Moms products are clinically tested and hypoallergenic. They are phthalate free, sulfate free and preservative free. They do not use additives like lanolin, petroleum and mineral oil, which we commonly see in commercially-sold baby skincare products.

Snacks were served as Chef Dang Adrias of Avent demonstrated how to safely prepare food, and how to make yummy and healthy food at the same time.  Avent has over 30 years of clinical experience in baby feeding, extensively researching and testing products.  From this wealth of knowledge come smart innovations that make the biggest differences to moms and babies.

After which, Ms. Phoebe Te of Stemcord talked about how we could protect our children through cord blood banking. Stemcord Philippines is the first and largest private cord blood banking service provider in the country, helping save lives since 2003. It is backed and managed by trusted medical expertise both locally and abroad.

Finally, Dr. Vargas of Safety 1st offered tips on baby proofing and protecting children from every day dangers.  Safety 1st provides smart ways to help children discover life safely.  They offer a full range of indoor and outdoor baby gear that support a child’s development and give parents peace of mind.

Guests were also treated to a private sale of pre-selected products that are guaranteed safe and eco-friendly.  Among the brands showcased were organic household products like Seventh Generation and Charlie’s Soap, safe and eco-friendly toys like Wonderworld Toys, organic clothing like Bamboo Baby and Babyleaf cloth diapers, and safety products like Belly Armor.

Nobody went home empty-handed, thanks to the healthy snacks provided by Mommy Treats, and loot bags and prizes sponsored by the event partners.
