It is my first time to attend Zomato PH Foodie meet-up last September 17, 2014. It was held in Vyne located at the 8th Floor of W Building, 30th Street corner 9th Avenue in BGC, Taguig City. It is a restaurant and gastropub that offers new twists on classic pub favorites as well as wide selection of fine wines and spirits. I'm so lucky to taste some of their sumptuous foods and it was a superb experience as we, my fellow bloggers, dine all together at Vyne.
Here's the delectable foods we tasted...
TAPAS
PORK CHASU BUN - P295 Pork Chasu, Fried Quail Egg, Fried Mantao, Nori Strips, Leeks and Sesame Mayo |
THAI SCALLOPS - P300 Seared Scallops, Mango Salad in Nuoc Cham Dressing, Sambal Mayo, Crispy Catfish |
MINI CRAB CAKES - P380 Mini Crab Cakes, Apply Mayo, Avruga and Pickled Radish |
I love the taste of Pork Chasu Bun, it is same an ordinary mini burger but this is extraordinary because of the Quail Egg that is not usually fried. It's my first time to taste Scallops, and WOW, I like the dressing added on it. And the Mini Crab cakes, I can't imagine how the crab becomes cakes. Well, it is very tasteful.
SOUP
PRAWN AND RAVIOLI LAKSA -P270 Prawn Raviol, Tofu, Fried Onions, Bean Sprouts, Laksa Soup |
I've tasted Laksa before but the thing I liked on this Laksa is there is a Prawn Ravioli which is my favorite.
SALAD
APPLE AND BLEU CHEESE SALAD - P285 Apple, Bleu Cheese, Cranberry, Honey Yogurt Dressing, Arugula |
EAST ASIAN SALAD - P370 Mixed Green Salad, Asian Slaw, Kimchi, Korean Rice Cake, Salmon Floss, Sesame Dressing |
I'm not a veggie eater but I still tried to taste this salad. I like the Apple and Bleu Cheese, the dressing is very tasteful. It is best for the diet conscious.
PASTA
RAMEN CARBONARA - P 350 Miso Cream Carbonara, Smoke Pork, Ramen Broth, Sousvide Quail Egg |
It is amazing how does Ramen Carbonara prepared, a Carbonara with a soup is very appetizing. And there you go, there is a Caviar...Great!
VYNE BURGER - P550
200g Beef Pattie, Mushroom Ragout, Foie Gras, Bleu Cheese, Apricot Jam, Brioche Bun |
A 200g Beef Pattie is soooo heavy but it is yummy! The beef is so tender and mouth-watering.
MAIN COURSE
PAN SEARED SOLE - P420 Pan Seared Sole Fish, Parsley Emulsion, Saffron Risotto, Sweet Corn Puree, Roasted Vegetables |
US ANGUS RIBEYE STEAK - P2,500 600g Prime Rib Steak, Horseradish Gremolata, Beef Jus, Fried Brussels sprouts |
Oh my gosh! I'm already full but the Main Course was served. For Fish lover, Pan Seared is perfect and of course, US Angus Ribeye Steak is the star of the night! Very tasteful and tender steak!
DESSERT
LEMON CHEESECAKE (CITRUS AND BASIL) - P360 Lemon New York Cheesecake, Lemon Custard, Basil, Chopped Pistachio, Meringue |
COLD ICED TEA, for refreshment |
And finally, my favorite dessert comes. I like the presentation how the Cheesecake is in a popsicle. The combination of sour and sweet taste is very mouth-watering! I love it!
