Finding balance between passion and profession

Atty. Rene “Rebo” Saguisag, Jr. Atty. Rene “Rebo” Saguisag, Jr. is a multifaceted individual who, despite his busy profession, never turns down an opportunity to work with his passion. Aside from being a notable lawyer, following the footsteps of his father, prominent human rights lawyer Rene Saguisag Sr., he was also a former BEST Center coach and is currently the UAAP commissioner for two consecutive seasons, 78 and 79. On top of that, Atty. Rebo is also a strong advocate of sports development among the youth naming the Mindanao Peace Games as one of his involvements.  Recently, he even volunteered to manage his son’s little league baseball team. How does he balance his passion and profession? “I don’t,” Saguisag wittingly answered. “I just married the perfect wife who fills all my shortcomings.” Law practice and basketball seem like two different worlds. Managing each would require his undivided attention as they are both time-consuming and emotionally draining. He expl

Senyor Juan Suman Latik

Filipinos loves to eat, and rice is always present in every meal whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. Merienda, which is a light late morning or mid-afternoon meal or snack is a bit of Pinoy's tradition. Some of common merienda are noodles, bread, food on sticks and of course native delicacies like suman, puto, and bibingka. If you're looking for a food with a twist include Senyor Juan Suman Latik on your list. They served

Make brushing more fun with Minions!

Colgate's Minions toothbrush and Minions toothpaste Kiddos loves to eat especially their favorite junk foods like candies and chocolates. I  encourage my nieces and nephews to brush their  teeth  every after meal. If they don't take  care of their teeth, cavities and unhealthy gums will  make their mouth very sore .  Brushing teeth  is vital to kid 's  dental health so at the early age I told my nieces and nephew the benefits of brushing. Our family only used a trusted brand and that is Colgate. For long years, this brand is  proven effective and  efficient that's why we also recommend this to our friends and  colleagues. Good to know that there is a new Colgate's Minions toothbrush and Minions toothpaste.  Minions are my nephews & nieces   favorite cartoon characters and they're so excited about  that news.  These cute, small, yellow creatures  will surely make brushing more fun to my  family  because like Minions they are capa

Millennials are individuals born between 1982 and 2004 .  According to Rappler, in the  Philippines, Filipino millennials make up 1/3 of  the country’s total  population. Almost half  of the employed Filipinos in 2015 were  millennials. They are the next leader  and decision  makers. They shape the future of our  country.  Two months from now, I’m turning 35. My age says that I belong to the generation of   Millennials  and I'm proud of that.   I’m still single, living my own life, had a regular job,  buys anything I want  and need. I must  admit  that I feel stuck in a cycle – work, eat, sleep,  repeat. I feel blessed  that I do not worry  the electric and  water bills nor supports education  and  finances of other  members of the family  and other expenses  though I share money to  my  mother during  payday.  I have small  savings  in the bank but I’m sure it’s  not enough for  my  future. I have  plenty of plans and feel scared to fail
