House of Unicorns Cafe

From whatever generation you belong, I'm sure you will enjoy and have fun visiting House of Unicorns.

July is my favorite and much awaited month of the year. Why? Simply because it's my birth month! Actually, it's me and my twin sister Ruby's 35th birthday last Saturday, July 15, so we both decide to celebrate it with a bang!

Recently, there are few restaurants and cafes has been featured on TV and always appeared on my newsfeed, themed cafe in particular. There are cat cafe or dog cafe and now Unicorn is now trending and the star of some themed cafes.

Unicorn is a legendary creature that has been described since antiquity as a beast with a single large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead. There are unicorn cafe that operates in different countries and this year the first Unicorn cafe opens in Bulacan, it is Dreamy Unicorn Cafe. Tthough it is far from Manila, I heard it was visited by a lot of people even outside Bulacan area. The other one is Rainbow Dreams Cafe in Maginhawa St., Quezon City. One of the owners of this cafe is the Volleyball Star, Alyssa Valdez. The 3rd Unicorn them cafe that nearest on my place and the one that my family visited last July 15 is the House of Unicorns Cafe located in 51-C Lilac St., Marikina City. I've been to Lilac St., several times because of my fieldwork. It's a place where there's a row of restaurants and cafes like in Maginhawa, Quezon City.

The store has a nice concept. Every corner is worth to take photos or should I say, Instagrammable!. From the murals, painting, displays, onesie, stuffed toys...excellent! Very lovely pastel color and unique designs and displays. Not only the kids, millenials or whatever generation you belong for sure will enjoy. It's totally cuteness overload!

Of course, they also served awesome foods. From pasta, chicken, waffle, milkshakes...and lots of delectable dishes to choose from! Bon apetit!

To celebrate our birthday with these cute unicorns and little ponnies is worth it! We had a blast! Now, I believe in unicorn! :D

The store was opened last July 7. The first two weeks upon their opening, there's a reservation during weekends. Though there's a miscommunication on our visit, at least they assist us fairly. The store opens daily from 11:00am to 10:00pm.

How to get there? If you're coming from the North or Southern Part, take a jeep or FX in Cubao (Aurora Blvd) with SSS Village signboard, they will pass by in Lilac Street. The landmark is it's in front of Puregold. If you're from Pasig like me, take a jeep bound to Marikina Bayan then take another jeep going to SSS Village.
