Most of the kids of today has a big dream when they grow up. Some of them wants to be a doctor, teacher, nurse, rockstar, or an artist. Using BIC pens, they can plot what they want to be in the coming years. |
The campaign launched at Kidzania Manila in Bonifacio Global City. KidZania is an indoor play city where kids can have fun exploring the adult world! An estimated 200 children from the beneficiaries were treated. The kids had fun as they experienced what they want to be when they grow up. Using BIC pens, they will also plot out their goals and dreams in a special BIC Bright Futures workbook.
Mr. Efren Peñaflorida is the founder of Kariton Klasrum (Pushcart Classroom). He's an education advocate, teacher, and social worker. It's amazing how he established that foundation. Even in the street kids can learn a lot if they're willing to learn. |
An inspiring speech from CNN "Hero of the Year" 2009, Mr. Efren Peñaflorida who also talks about the importance of going back to school and how it will help them build a brighter future.
BIC feels strongly about giving back to communities where the Group is present in the form of product or financial donations and volunteering. As part of their strong societal commitment, the BIC Corporate Foundation for Education was launched in 2016 focusing on fighting for universal access of education as a basic human right. Through this foundation, BIC is engaged in the fight against school drop-outs, access to education for girls and women and environmental education giving more than 6 million pens to children in need.
