SM Cares sets stage for expecting moms in “Mama’s Lullaby”
To promote the good health and well-being of mothers and their unborn child through safe pregnancy and delivery, the SM Cares Program on Women and Breastfeeding Mothers, will be holding an event entitled “Mama’s Lullaby, A Musical Event for Expecting Mothers”. This is in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal number three (good health and well being) to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all, at all ages.
Happening on May 27, 2019, 2PM at the Event Center in SM Megamall, the event will feature discussions with medical experts wherein attendees can learn useful tips on how to have a safe and healthy pregnancy.
“Looking after yourself during pregnancy is very important, which is why we at SM Cares remain committed to providing awareness to all women and future mothers, about proper ways on how to care for both you and your baby,” said Bernadette Velasco, SM Cares Program Director for Women and Breastfeeding Mothers.
Guest speaker from the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, the premier organization of Obstetrician-Gynecologists, is Dr. Bianca Katrina Villanueva who will discuss the stages of pregnancy and share tips for better intellectual and emotional development of the baby. Medical Nutrition Physician, Dr. Mariana Sioson, will talk about breastfeeding and food that will boost nutrition for both mother and baby.
Meanwhile, the highlight of the event will be the symphony performance of String Fusion, to serenade the mommies and their babies, as it is believed that music can have a potential positive impact on the baby’s mental and emotional development.
