Mr.Aldrin Lumaban hailed as the Champion of the 2nd Philippine National Barista Championship
The 2nd Philippine National Barista Championship, our country's most prestigious barista competition held last Friday, Oct.17, 2014 at Resorts World Manila.
Aldrin Lumaban of Craft Coffee Revolution won the prestigious National Barista Championship organized by Allegro Beverage, a leading coffee and beverage supplier in the HoReCa industry with Resorts World Manila as prestigious platinum partner and sponsor. The Philippines has its representative for the World Barista Championship in Seattle, U.S. next year.
He beats 23 contenders during the three-day competition. He was among the six baristas who made it in the final round and competed last night.

During the competition, Baristas will prepare and serve twelve coffee drinks: four espressos, four cappuccinos and four original espresso-based signature beverages of their own creation, all within a 15-minute timeframe. Seven Judges, including four Sensory Judges, two Technical Judges and one Head Judge, will evaluate each of the competing Baristas.
A barista is judged in both sensory and technical aspects of making coffee.
While the competition is on-going, everyone can enjoy and taste free coffee samples from the sponsors of the event.

A barista from Craft Coffee Revolution, Lumaban has been actively joining national competitions and even participated in last year’s PNBC. Kudos to our country's pride and representative in the 2015 World Barista Championship next year. Bring home the bacon Aldrin!
