I'm self-confessed carnivore and I'm so delighted that I got a chance to try out a restaurant in the heart of Quezon City that offers not only meat products that I love but they also specialized in smokey meats.What am I talking about? Well, that is Fat Daddy's Smoke House who has two branches today located in Marikina and UP Town Center, Quezon City.



Fat Daddy’s Smokehouse has perfected this meticulous process of cooking pork spare ribs from their years of being in the business. "Time and temperature are two things that we give much attention aside from the ingredients. All our pork spare ribs are cooked with the same, exact formula that's fail-proof – low and slow,"Chef Jasper Versoza shares. 


For 10 straight hours, a rack of pork ribs is smoked with the right amount of heat. This allows the release of flavor in each layer of the meat without compromising its tenderness. Picking a good rack of pork ribs also matters. Its thickness should be even to ensure that all sides will be cooked on the same level. To enhance the taste, the smoked ribs are complemented with a barbecue sauce that gives a strong burst of flavors in every bite.


Fat Daddy's Smoke House was a brainchild of Versoza siblings who have a hankering for all things smoked and grilled. This desire prompted them to establish a smokehouse that will satisfy the comfort food cravings of foodies in the metro. The result is a Southern USA-inspired smokehouse and barbeque restaurant that serves a rich array of smoked and grilled food choices, including pork ribs, smoked wings, smoked beef brisket, and other meat dishes.

It's a great food to start this food crawl. These starters have a big serving. I really like Hot Pork Poppers specially if you dip it in the special vinegar. It's crunchy and tasteful, it reminds me of Chicharon. The generous nachos is full of pulled pork and bacon toppings and it is really good. The crunchiness of the nachos plus the cheese is superb.



SIDES
Hot Mess (Php170)
The mashed potato is awesome plus the bacon on top adds flavor. 


Mac and Cheese (Php170)
If you're a pasta lover, you will really love the cheesy flavor plus its meaty taste. 


Roasted Chicken


Smoked Pork Ribs - whole (Php1,750)
The pork is so tender, I love the way it was cooked because the smoky flavor of the meat really taste good.



Smoked Beef Brisket (Php550)
The beef is tender and it turned out great because it is smoked.



Texas Dirty Rice (Php65)
Actually, it's not as dirty as you think. The rice has meat add-ons already.

My favorite part of the meal is dessert. I'm a certified chocoholic and I have a big sweet tooth. It's amazing how come that some of the dessert they offer has a bacon as toppings. For some it sounds weird but once you tasted it, it's really awesome. The sweetness of the dessert like Smokey Maple Bacon Milkshake and Bacon and S'mores Dip plus the taste of the crunchy bacon is perfect. Among all these mouthwatering dessert, I super enjoy the Bacon and S'mores Dip because of the generous chocolate inside the smores.



For the foodies out there, try there delectable dishes. It is best share with loved ones and the prices are reasonable. I''ll tell you, this place is haven and you will be surely full!
