MERALCO ADVISORY: ELECTRICITY RATES GO DOWN IN SEPTEMBER

Meralco Advisory Sept rate decrease

Meralco announced that overall electricity rates this September went down by Php 0.0451 per kilowatthour (kWh) for its residential customers. Households consuming 200 kWh will experience a reduction of around Php 9 in their electricity bill. Meralco Public Information Office Head Joe Zaldarriaga (in photo) explained that the overall rate decrease was due to the downward movement in the transmission charge, which more than offset a higher generation charge. Meralco also relaunched its mobile app called MOVE (Meralco Virtual Engine), which has a new ‘Orange Tag’ section. Users can now check how much it would cost to use specific appliances.   Rex Education was recently recognized at the 21st Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal and the 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA). The Quezon Gawad Parangal is held annually in October as part of the local government’s celebration of the city’s founding. The 2023 awards ceremony recognized individuals and institutions who were exemplary in the fields of social work, environment and sanitation, law and justice, business and entrepreneurship, and science and technology.
